{Design Couture} | Table Linens So Gorgeous You Can Wear Them!

If you don’t know me by now…then you haven’t been paying attention. I am absolutely obsessed with Wildflower Linen. They are one of my favorite suppliers for exotic and stunning linens. If you didn’t know why before… here’s a little more for you to digest, from their Open House Event in their new Phoenix Arizona showroom. I can’t wait til Song expands out here…I will be right there to lend a hand!

Wildflower Linen celebrates yet another milestone with an Open House Event for our brand new showroom.  But this time, it’s not fun in the sun in “cool” California, it’s fun in the sun in “hot” Arizona!  And when Wildflower Linen says open house, we not only mean great food, people and fun; but get ready for amazing style and great entertainment too!  What better way to show off our linens than in a showroom, on the tables and again on the runway; a fashion show runway showcasing our designer table linen and chair covers that anyone can rent!

Katrina and Andrew from Sedona Bride Photography captured the most amazing images from the event and were nice enough to let us grab a sneak peek.

This is our 3rd fashion show this year and they keep getting better and better!   Pro-em played a pivotal role in making this event a success with their tent,  lighting and rentals, while sierra bonita cateringshelley’s specialty desserts and pour masters wined and dined guests!

Gorgeous models showcased Wildflower Linen’s latest collections as well as signature favorites by wearing the designs across a floral and rose petal runway carpet created by events by showstoppers.

If it weren’t a treat in itself just to have a runway showing of linens, this runway is to die for!  I would love to see this at an Indian Wedding!

Gorgeous beyond words.  I could see myself walking around in any of these.  I could wear them to a Full Circle Eventi Boutique Event this spring?  Maybe?  I’ll have to get the draping secrets from Song!

We also had amazing floral designers create tablescapes for the event, Arizona style… of course!!   We LOVE how designers can take the same linen and with different elements, florals and visions, a whole new feel and concept is created!  Each one worked with a theme and these are their amazing creations:

Petal Pushers created this lovely tablescape using our custom Lauren linen and Marilyn Chair Covers for their “wedding” inspired theme.

I am absolutely in love with this design.  Every color, every details, every place setting, every linen.  It’s absolutely breath taking, and definitely translatable for and Michigan Wedding!

When asked to do a “southwest” themed table to really appreciate the styles of Arizona, md design didn’t hold anything back.  Using our new Carrington linen, they truly captured the beauty and feel of Arizona.

Along with the amazing petal runway, Events by Showstoppers created this lovely “wedding” inspired table using the Carolyn Linen and chair covers in champagne.

I had the pleasure of seeing this table cloth’s chair cover partner when I was in LA.  I thought that was beautiful, but the table linen is perfect for any purple wedding.  The variety of shade and texture are perfect for multiple uses!

Flora Bella created a playful “Girls luncheon” themed table using the custom Juliet Linen in lavendar and Venus Chair Covers.

Ghost chairs, something blue and a touch of white…so crisp and clean.  This would be a fun look for a Persian wedding.

This vibrant tablescape created by Avante-Garde Studio using Iridescent taffeta aquamarineand turquoise jeweled chair covers is the perfect compliment to create this “holiday” inspired theme.

Oh my couture brides!  This is an fabulous concept to start with for a bridal shower or a bachelorette night.  May just a girls night in!  Pink and Black are ever a hot color combination…and I see it being even more in 2011.  I know a local source in Michigan just recently got a linen very similar to this as well…to die for!

Much love!  I heart all things Wildflower!  I can’t wait to hear your favorites.  Make sure to leave me a little note on which look you like best!

{Ethnic Couture} | Amazing Wedding Kimonos 2011

Traditional Japanese wedding kimono: white uchikake kimono from Scena D'uno 2010 collection, designed and modeled by Uno Kanda

I wanted to leave you this week with some amazing and simply gorgeous creations from Scena D’uno to keep your mind a flutter all weekend.

I simply cannot explain how in awe I am of these beautiful kimono robes.  I thought last year’s collection was to die for.  Again this year, Uno Kanda personally models her beautiful designs that are out of the world!  Pretty ruffles, unexpected textures and patterns, certainly make this one of the most stunning collections to date.  Scene D’uno’s 2010 collection demands attention, whether you’re looking for a kimono or not!

Inspiration for this pale yellow creation could certainly be a daffodil.  Unexpected fluttering butterflies and leopard print trim make this a one of a kind creation.

Traditional Japanese kimono given a modern twist with lighter fabrics and use of ruffles and animal print - The new romantic traditional wedding dress

I love the use of traditional western wedding dress fabric — embroidered organza instead of silk or satin usually utilized for traditional kimonos — for this bridal coat, a truly unique fusion modern kimono is born. Do you love the purple on lavender as much as I do?

Scena D’uno is taking inspiration from Japanese youth with the next two kimono! Their eclectic style is wrapped up with polka dots and ruffles and topped with a pretty pink bow! Altogether now… KAWAII!!!

Black, pink and animal print obi sash for a punk rock bride. Don’t forget the lace finger less glove (so retro Madonna!) and paper fan with matching tassels!  “Outrageous!” you say?  Outrageously fun!

Imagination Couture | Moroccan Sunset Wedding Inspiration

If you’re like me and you’re drawn to the richness and colors of eastern cultures, you are certain to be familiar with an abundance of color. Be it clothing, artwork, tapestries, or house wares color is an explosion and often combined in ways we are not as accustomed to here in the West. If you want to include an abundance of colors at your wedding reception, tread lightly. You certainly don’t want to end up vomiting color on every wall. The average designer will discourage you from selecting more than 2 maybe 3 colors, but I’ll let you know, it can be done tastefully. Ethnic themes are great ways to incorporate an explosion of color into your event. Earlier we sampled a pink, purple and blue Moroccan theme; here is another, more “colorful” palate for your wedding inspiration. TIPS: Using one neutral tone in various shades allows you to spice it up with every color under the rainbow, without looking like a hot mess!

Imagination Couture | I dream in Pink Purple and Blue Moroccan Inspiration

Every so often, you can catch me perusing the boards on websites like The Knot, Wedding Wire, Get Married, and Brides. In one chat room a bride mentioned she was contemplating the idea of a Moroccan themed wedding. Honestly, I can’t imagine anything more delightful! What a wonderful thing to choose and there are so many possibilities and ways the theme can be realized. I’ve created one Moorish themed imagination board in previous designs, but the possibilities of color combination and elements to realize your dreams are endless. So, as the bride mentioned in her post, she was thinking about pink and blue for her inspiration.
