Tango with Tangerine – Teal

Color, color, color, by far my favorite thing. Rich intense shades will liven up any event. I’m not frowning on muted tones, they have their day in the spotlight as well, but with the intensity of Tangerine Tango, we can go for the gusto and pair is up with a beautiful shade of Teal.

Sunset roses and marccara orchids are a fabulous place to start. I love the ingenuity and use of tangerines in this inspiration board as name card or place settings. I can see the tiny round fruits at your guests tables propped at their place settings.

The guys can certainly get into the mood with a vibrant teal tie and tangerine boutonnière. And getting off to a great start with the crisp clean and bold invitation.

What day would be complete without a FABULOUS pair of Tangerine shoes? No detail left untouched, take a little tangerine and teal to your whimsical signature drinks. Can you see yourself incorporating these elements into your day? I think they may a beautiful couple!

Imagination Couture | Moroccan Sunset Wedding Inspiration

If you’re like me and you’re drawn to the richness and colors of eastern cultures, you are certain to be familiar with an abundance of color. Be it clothing, artwork, tapestries, or house wares color is an explosion and often combined in ways we are not as accustomed to here in the West. If you want to include an abundance of colors at your wedding reception, tread lightly. You certainly don’t want to end up vomiting color on every wall. The average designer will discourage you from selecting more than 2 maybe 3 colors, but I’ll let you know, it can be done tastefully. Ethnic themes are great ways to incorporate an explosion of color into your event. Earlier we sampled a pink, purple and blue Moroccan theme; here is another, more “colorful” palate for your wedding inspiration. TIPS: Using one neutral tone in various shades allows you to spice it up with every color under the rainbow, without looking like a hot mess!

Imagination board – Lavender & Sage Romance

I recently receive a request via submissions to create an imagination board for someone’s upcoming outdoor, barn style wedding. Colors selected for the outdoor wedding are lavender and sage and the bride also wanted to incorporate her favorite flowers – hydrangeas and lavender. The couple selected a cute historic location for their wedding, with the ceremony taking place outside under a large tree in the yard. Their cocktail reception encourages their guest to experience the quaintness of the historic site while they run off to snap a few photos. And the full reception is planned indoors in the rustic quarters of the ancient barn.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together. I’m delivering this to you in two parts, since the bride also requested some assistance with her overall appearance for the bridal party as well as the wedding itself. So be sure to tune in again tomorrow and check out the lavender romance wardrobe.
