Chanukah Imagination – Blue & Silver 09

Saturday night at sundown marked the end of the Jewish Celebration of Lights, Chanukah. In America today, Chanukah is likened to the Christian celebration of Christmas, but has roots stemming back more than 2,300 years. It is a holiday commemorating the miracle of the oil that burned for 8 days; hence the celebration lasts eight days. The holiday fluctuates between November and December of the western calendar, but begins on the 25th day of the Hebrew month of Kislev.  In honor of my blue and silver Chanukah family, I wanted to draw inspiration to share with all of you. Menorahs and dredles, shades of blue and silver, the beginning of a glorious “simkhah”. “Mazel Tov!”
