{Couture Promotions} | Cultural Brides NEEDED to Win Dream Honeymoon!

Hi Ladies,

Today’s post is going to be a quick one, but a super fabulous opportunity for you! Have you ever watched reality tv wedding series…ok that was a dumb question. Of course you have!

One of the new series, and one of my favorites, TLC’s Four Weddings is currently in “booking” season and looking for YOU!

If you’re not quite up on the series, it takes 4 brides and has them compete for a dream honeymoon. The 4 brides have already planned their weddings and agree to attend each other’s wedding as guest. Each bride then scores the other bride’s wedding based on various categories, including over all experience. Of course know one know until the end who wins. The winning bride’s groom steps out of a black limousine with a bouquet of flowers to present to his winning bride…aaaawe. It’s such a great series and great for quick inspiration.

Check out the video:

SO, what does this mean for you? Well the network needs to start interviewing brides for this upcoming season’s episodes. At this point, I’ve seen mainly Western Weddings. The only “cultural” wedding I saw was a Greek event. So I think we need an influx of Cultural Weddings on the show. I need to see South Asian and Indian Weddings featured. As well as Persian and Chaldean weddings!

Alright ladies, here are the deets. You simply need to email your date and WHERE you are located tlcbrides@gmail.com or call 212-505-7775 x102 or x106 ASAP! We are currently looking for brides with weddings that will take place from OCTOBER 2010 through MARCH 2011 in the NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY areas AND the greater MIAMI, FLORIDA area.

NY/ NJ brides — send an e-mail to: TLCBrides@gmail.com

MIAMI, FL brides — send an e-mail to: 4WeddingsMiami@gmail.com

They say they are looking for brides in NY/NJ and Miami, but I think we definitely need some MidWest love as well…so flood their in-boxes!

They need to hear from you!

{BridalPlasty} | Series Premier

If Big Brother and Survivor married Four Weddings, The Swan and Extreme Makeover they would produce a child called BridalPlasty. Top Model may have also had an affair or at least a bit of help in the child rearing. I’m not sure who proposed the idea and I have no idea how long it took to get it aired, but it is amazing what people will do for fame, fortune le and most of all the perfect wedding. Did I mention the perfect body?

So I can get as addicted to brain numbing reality TV, heck I followed up BridalPlasty with a dose of Kendra. And since this series is “bridal” related, I thought it might be fun to follow along, share my thoughts, and better yet, hear your thoughts!

Ladies, it’s my pleasure to introduce to you for the first time, your beautiful brides-to-be:

Alexandra White, former The Biggest Loser Contestant Allyson Donovan, the unemployed Ashley Langford, pawned her ring for gas money Lisa Marie N, the insecure bride
Cheyenne Aikens, the modern bride Domnique Santoro, the jilted sister bride
Jamie Farnsworth, already married bride 1 with deceased mother Janessa Wainwright, ultimatum, know it all bride Jessica Slocum, pink pony (stolen from Married to Rock) bride Kristen Sciacca, former pageant contestant Melissa Hooper, already married military bride Netty Aranguren, self proclaimed spoiled brat bride

As a premier episode, E New left you wanting more of these rambunctious brides, especially with clips of upcoming season episodes. But the series looks to prove every stereo-type correct. Survival style alliances, Top Model bickering and backstabbing and Bridezilla attitudes abound. Hey, what do you expect when you put 12 women in a house and see if they can get along?

Some of the women seem to be endearing, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the onion layers peel back over the course of the next few weeks. But there are some people who are already rubbing me the wrong way. Number one on my list is Janessa. WOW! She is probably the most outrageous and outspoken individual on the series. But her self-righteous attitude is going to bite her in the a$$ very quickly. If her ultimatum proposal didn’t already give a glimpse into her personality, herself proclaimed “smartest person” here comment during the first challenge is way too much. While I certainly understand Janessa’s jealousy of Alexandra’s day in the spotlight, I think she’s also fixated on the wrong topic from the get go.

Alexandra was one of my initial favorites, prior to finding out she was a former The Biggest Loser contestant. I thought she had a great bubbly personality. But the jury is out on whether she is going to fight for her place in the running or simply rest on her “10 minutes” of fame.

There is not one, but two (2) women on the show who are ALREADY married! How can you be a bride and already be married? I do understand that neither of the brides, Jamie and Melissa, didn’t have their “dream wedding” but there are a lot, let me repeat A LOT of women who never had their dream wedding…so why are these women on the show?

There are so many more brides to cover, but those are the one’s that stood out this week. Who are your favorites? Who do you LOVE and who do you HATE (already)?

One point that I really HATE about the series is having the girls PLEAD for their placement 5 minutes after they get done losing a challenge AND the vote is PUBLIC. Who’s ever heard of having a public vote? I HATE HATE HATE IT!

If you didn’t get a chance to watch the episode, there are a ton of opportunities over the week to catch an episode. And here are a couple sneak peaks.

{Bridal Sutra} | Divine Jewelry for Him and Her – Jodhaa Akbar Colletion by Tanishq

Jeweler: Tansihq,   Photography:  Sharon Nayak

Since I am such a visually driven individual myself, I’ve decided Friday’s is all about Visual Inspiration. Whatever I’ve come across that speaks, or rather YELLS at me to pay attention. I am so excited to share visual inspiration today from the Jodhaa Akbar Collection by Tanishq.

Who said the bride gets to have all the fun with jewelry? I love the jewel encrusted swords and daggers included in this collection!

Pearls and Jade! Wow!

In addition to displaying amazing jewelry, I love the visual perspective the photographer took on this shoot. Subtle, gorgeous and striking! I’m drawn into every image.

{Design Couture} | Mood Lighting with BlissLights™!

As a Michigan bride, it’s hard to plan a wedding under the stars, especially once the chill of winter sets in (and unfortunately we are there now L). But of course we are not the only one’s subject to indoor weddings during the Winter. So unless you are having a planetarium wedding, which is amazing in itself, the idea of marrying under the subtle glow of starlight or dancing the night away beneath twinkling lights is little more than a dream.

Until NOW!

Introducing BlissLights™!

I had the opportunity to check these out first hand at the recent Phoenix ABC National Conference and let me tell you, they are totally worth it! I believe lighting plays a critical role in designing a custom and unique wedding experience for couples and their guest. BlissLights™! has introduced a fabulous and realistic solution to create your own “Night Among the Stars!”

BlissLights™ use simple lighting-effect projectors to create an explosion of thousands of moving pin-points of light. They move with an ever-transforming nebula cloud that stimulates the imagination.

BlissLights™ incorporate laser and optical elements to create a breathtaking lighting effect much like a universe of moving stars. BlissLights™ creates paintings out of light that must be experienced with your own eyes to appreciate the fine attention to detail in each work of art.

BlissLights™ can be used to illuminate hard-to-light areas and create a unique lighting experience never-before-seen for weddings, social gatherings or any occasion really! Create a magical, starry experience for your friends and family at your next event!

As you know, I love the effects of lighting to set the mood of any room or space.  BlissLights are a fantastic new addition to the professional lighting industry!  Leave us a comment on your thoughts!  I think they are amazing and Full Circle Eventi is excited to bring them to our wedding décor rental arsenal.
